Having allergies can be extremely difficult to live with. Whether they are food allergies, seasonal allergies or pet allergies they can really put a damper on your lifestyle. Siberian cats are hypo-allergenic cats. This means that they are very unlikely to cause an allergic reaction from people who are allergic to cats. Many people think that their allergy to cats has something to do with the length of the cat’s hair that however is not where the allergy lies. The allergy comes from the Fel d1 protein that a cats has. Siberian cats hypoallergenic because they do not have this Fel d1 protein that causes allergic reactions. What typically happens with a cat is that when they clean themselves they leave the Fel D1 on their fur and then it causes people to have allergic reactions. Because the Siberian cats do not produce this they do not leave any traces on their hair when they clean themselves. This is why owners of Siberian cats that do have allergies to cats and dander do not have allergic reactions. Over 98% of all people who own Siberian Cats and do normally have allergic reactions to cats have said that they have had no reactions whatsoever to the Siberian cat.
Siberian cats are great with children and are beautiful cats. They are solitary animals and live long lives. The best part of having a Siberian cat is that they are hypoallergenic and will not cause any allergic reactions.
