Naughtiness in the Navy

by Andy on October 24, 2004

So, the British Navy now welcomes Satanists into its ranks

Naval technician Chris Cranmer, 24, has been allowed to register by the captain of HMS Cumberland, based at Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth.

The move will mean that he will now be allowed to perform Satanic rituals on board the vessel.

How long, I wonder, before the UK is named as a fully paid up member of the axis of evil?

When I heard this story I wondered what shipmates of his might think. Devout Christians may be nervous that their God may sink the ship or something to punish them. Then of course the British Navy must feel that wouldn’t be the case so they must be operating under the premise that there is no God if not officially then in practice.

I don’t think that would make them evil but part of the axis of the secular (which the US seems to be leaving).
